Leigh McPherson

Leigh grew up in the Birmingham, Alabama, area and attended Vestavia Hills High School. She is a graduate of Agnes Scott College, where she enjoyed the benefits of big-city life in Atlanta, and she also holds a masterʼs degree in English from Auburn University. She has many happy memories of summers in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Alabama's beautiful Gulf coast. It is a dream come true for Leigh to now reside in the town where her family has vacationed for over 30 years. Her years as a high school and community college teacher provide her with the "people skills" involved in operating a luxury vacation rental company.

Leigh lives in Orange Beach with her husband, Captain Don McPherson, owner of Getaway Charters. In her spare time, she loves to read or spend time outdoors. You may see her working in her yard, walking on the beach or in her neighborhood, or saltwater fishing with Don on the Getaway. She especially enjoys spending time with her son, Rob, who is a senior at the University of Mississippi.

Phyllis Montgomery

Phyllis was born in Illinois, but grew up in the Ouachita Mountains in Arkansas. She is a graduate of Southern State College with a degree in Business Administration. Having lived in Arkansas, Georgia and Mississippi, she finally settled down on the Alabama Gulf Coast 27 years ago. She loves the playground that the Gulf Coast offers, but also loves the mountains. She and a friend own a home in the Blue Ridge Mountains in north Georgia.

When she is not working you will find her retreating to the mountains. One of her favorite past times is rummaging through the many antique shops and native arts and craft shops and pottery stores you will find both locally and in the mountains.

Phyllis is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Alabama and Florida. She was associated with RE/MAX of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach for the past 15 years and now serves as the Broker for VIP Rentals. She has established a long history in the real estate industry as a hard working, dedicated agent providing honest and quality service to her customers and clients. She looks forward to being of service to you in this new venture.

Helene Kitchens

Helene KItchens was brought up in a European household. Both of her parents were Greek. Her mother was Greek, but was born outside of Paris, France ,and her father was born in Othoni, Greece.
Helene lived and went to school in Gadsden, Alabama. She graduated from the Gadsden State Jr. College and Jacksonville State University. She has also attended Mercer and West Georgia College.

The majority of Helene's time has been spent living in Georgia raising two children. They are now grown, graduated and on their own.
During Helene's residence in Georgia she worked for several businesses. The last was Cingular, which is now AT&T. Over the years Ishe worked in the sales department as an Administrative Assistant for several Managers, Vice-Presidents and Presidents. They handled the Fortune Companies, i.e. 500, 1000, etc.

Helene now lives in Orange Beach and works in Gulf Shores for an attorney. She says "Life is good here and definitely "laid back." I look forward to my next chapter with the beginning of a new business."
